{Summer // Adorable DIY Dress}

Hello ModestyHey friends, I’ve been seeing all these adorable shift and swing dresses every where. I’ve wanted to get one for awhile but it’s hard to find them long enough. Soooo… with the inspiration from my sister Sue, I bought this Old Navy dress. It’s originally an XXL but I sewed it in to fit my size. *So Smart* It’s perfect because you can buy them long enough and then just sew them in on the sides and it looks great. We probably have half a dozen dresses we’ve done this way. 😀Hello ModestyHello ModestyHello ModestyHello Modesty It’s so great because I don’t have to throw out this style of dress. I just buy them large and sew them in. GO give it a try!! It’s super easy!  Outfit details:  Dress // Sunnies Hello Modesty

Do YOU have any little DIY tips to share? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

    Love the dress! And what a great idea for making it more modest!!

    This dress is adorable! Such a god idea to buy a bigger size and bring in the waist so the hem is long enough! Definitely something I’ll need to try.

    Or you can order dresses off and adjust the length, neckline and sleeves to your style/standards 🙂

    When it comes to tops, oftentimes they are too short. I’ve always gone up a size. But I’ve recently discovered Gap’s online store where you can order tops in a “tall” option– it’s been life saving! They have the tall options for dresses as well, which is super nice when you want a dress at a modest length.
